Have you joined our Rainbow Resource Scheme? We offer a Rainbow Resource card to all children and young people aged between 0-25 years, with a Special Educational Need and/ or Disability (SEND) or an additional need, living across Bath and North East Somerset.
Why join the scheme?
It’s completely free, and will provide you with a wallet sized card confirming your child's additional need/disability. This may then offer you discounted admission or an alternative concession at many attractions and venues across the South West. In addition to the above, we encourage all organisations we work with to offer additional services such as a quiet space, and support from staff in unpredictable circumstances.
We are continually growing and contacting attractions and organisations across the South West inviting them to support ths scheme. The full list of current participants can be found by clicking here. If you have any suggestions of places for us to approach to invite them to accept the card, please do let us know.
What do we need to know?
We will need only basic information, and this information will be held securely by Bath and North East Somerset Council with access limited to authorised staff. Your information will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
Inclusion on the list is voluntary, and by registering you child's details they will be included on Bath and North East Somerset's Disabled Children's Register, which each Local Authority is required to hold in accordance with the Children's Act 1989. The Disabled Children's Register helps the Local Authority and local Health Organisations to understand more about the number of young people living with a SEND or Disability in Bath and North East Somerset, and the level of need they have.
How to apply:
Complete the online registration form below (see red box below) or download and either email or post back to the P&C Communications Team, who manage Rainbow Resource. We will endeavour to process your application and send out your card within 5 working days.
